The Builder Series uses a 1/2-inch NPT compression-style cartridge that seats with a quarter-turn; the Classic and Pro lines use a threaded retaining nut and a spline-count cartridge that looks similar but will not seal if swapped.

To identify your part, remove the handle and check the cartridge body for a four-digit date code (first two digits are year, second two are week). Cartridges stamped before 2017 used a brass stem; post-2017 switched to a reinforced polymer that holds up better against West Palm Beach’s mineral-heavy municipal water but can crack if overtightened during installation.
