• Granule loss on the floor or ground below. The cap sheet’s protective mineral surface is washing off, which means the asphalt underlayer is directly exposed to UV. Once granule loss exceeds 30% of the surface, the remaining lifespan drops from years to months in West Palm Beach sun.

DIY or Call Us?

What we don’t recommend: climbing the roof yourself. Tuff Shed roofs are built with a 4:12 pitch minimum, which is steeper than it looks from the ground, and the factory OSB decking does not tolerate repeated foot traffic once it has any moisture intrusion. The fasteners are also set at specific intervals to avoid crushing the wall panel top plates.
