Blanco Home Additions & ADU: The West Palm Beach Owner’s Guide

Blanco-compatible fixtures and fittings for home additions and ADU construction in West Palm Beach typically run $45,000-$130,000 for a full addition, with Blanco sink and faucet packages adding $800-$2,400 to the fixture budget. We stock the full Blanco Precis, Quatrus, and Diamond Super Single lines for same-day specification on active West Palm Beach projects. Most owners realize they need Blanco-specific sizing when their architect’s generic “stainless undermount” note doesn’t account for the Precis’s 33-inch apron front or the Quatrus R15’s tighter radius that conflicts with standard cabinet depths.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s three residential lines show up differently on West Palm Beach plans. The Precis series, made of Silgranit PuraDur, comes in 24-, 27-, 30-, and 33-inch widths with a composite density that requires a modified cabinet support grid - standard particleboard shelves deflect under a full Precis 33 loaded with dishes. The Quatrus line, stainless with that R15 corner radius, needs exact 33-by-18-inch rough openings; we’ve seen two Flagler Drive jobs where the cabinet shop cut 33-by-19 and the reveal looked amateur for a six-figure addition. The Diamond Super Single, discontinued in 2019 but still requested for matching, used a 32-1/2-inch template that no current Blanco product shares.

OEM Blanco strainers and drains thread metric - 1-3/4-inch with a 12 TPI pitch that standard 1-1/2-inch NPT hardware strips on first turn. We keep Blanco part 441231 (strainer basket) and 440036 (drain flange) on the truck because the aftermarket equivalents from Kraus or Ruvati use NPT and leak six months later in West Palm Beach’s hard water. For Silgranit sinks, the 900-series mounting clips are proprietary; generic undermount clips don’t seat in the molded rail. We source through Blanco’s Miami distribution, not the big-box special orders that take three weeks.

Signs Your Blanco Home Additions & ADU Is Failing

Signs Your Blanco Home Additions & ADU Is Failing
  • Silgranit surface crazing or whitening. The PuraDur resin oxidizes under UV exposure if your West Palm Beach addition has east-facing windows without Low-E coating. We see this on unshaded kitchen sinks by year four; the surface isn’t dirty, the polymer matrix is breaking down.
  • Strainer basket no longer seats flush. The 441231’s polymer bushing compresses from thermal cycling - hot pots, cold disposal water, repeat. Once the seal goes, water tracks under the flange and rots the cabinet deck from below.
  • Drain flange rotation after installation. Blanco’s 440036 uses a thin brass ferrule that deforms if overtightened during rough-in. The flange spins instead of sealing, and the putty ring fails. This is almost always an install error, not a part defect.
  • Undermount sink sagging at the front rail. Silgranit weighs 18 pounds per square foot empty; loaded with water and dishes, the front clip pair carries 80-plus pounds. Standard clips rated for 14-gauge stainless don’t hold. Blanco’s 900-series clips distribute load across four inches of rail, not two.
  • Faucet base corrosion on Quatrus installs. The R15’s tight rear clearance forces faucet placement close to the backsplash splash zone. Blanco’s Culina semi-pro, when mounted with the standard escutcheon instead of the extended version, traps water against the deck plate. We see this on spec homes where the plumber used whatever was in the van.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Item West Palm Beach Range
Blanco Precis 33 + 441231 strainer + 440036 drain $1,100-$1,800
Blanco Quatrus R15 + matching drain assembly $850-$1,400
900-series mounting clip set (Silgranit) $45-$75
Culina semi-pro faucet with extended escutcheon $650-$950
Labor: sink swap in existing addition/ADU cabinet $400-$700
Labor: full rough-in for new addition $800-$1,400

What moves the number: Silgranit in anthracite or cafe brown runs 15% above white; cabinet modifications for proper clip support add $200-$400 if the original shop didn’t plan for Blanco. Our price is flat, written, and includes the photo record - Clause 1 of the Haven Standard. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers installation; Blanco’s limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects, which we handle the paperwork for.

What you can check safely: the model number stamped on the sink’s rear rail (visible with a phone flashlight), whether your strainer is the 441231 or a generic replacement, and whether the cabinet deck below shows water staining. What goes wrong fast: Silgranit’s weight requires two people for a clean drop-in; one corner off-angle and the rail chips. The 900-series clips torque to 12 inch-pounds - most cordless drivers bottom at 15, and overtightening cracks the molded rail. And that metric drain thread: if you’ve already cross-threaded it, the sink body is damaged and replacement is the only fix.

We’re not affiliated with Blanco; we’re independent contractors who’ve installed enough of their product to know where the tolerances live. Call (561) 475-3903 for a free estimate - we’ll bring the catalog and measure your cabinet box on the same visit.
